The YPS-M20 Mini-Module Thermal Field Emission (TFE) Source is a complete, pre-aligned assembly incorporating a compact suppressor, ceramic insulator, and extractor.
A proprietary feature of the M20, when used in a YPS Field Emission Gun (FEG), is that it is factory pre-aligned with the gun; making it simple to exchange, ensuring easy integration and replacement. This feature provides a high-quality FE source that does not require external alignment to the column’s optical axis.
The module has been adopted by OEMs and instrument developers and has been successfully deployed in YPS Field Emission Guns operating at voltages of up to 100 kV.
